Serious senior chicken money
I am in a panic. I woke up this morning and found out I was 72! How did that happen?
I have a good portion of my savings in Vanguard stock fund and bond fund. They have been fantastic but… I have now lost everything I gained! I don’t have time to wait it out. I need to move what’s left somewhere safe. I can make decisions later. I ask for your esteemed advice.
What is the best and fastest place I can stash my stash that is safe, fast, cheap and accessible?

Call Vanguard and move HALF (not all) to their government securities money market fund. It can be done overnight!! Then you’ll sleep well. You don’t want to sell ALL your stocks, because you’ll need the growth they will provide in the next bull markets. But DO sell all your bond funds. Start there and put that in the MM fund first!
