Should I have an attorney review letter of agreement with fiduciary investment firm before signing
I am thinking of consolidating my investments with Fisher Investments. Should I have an attorney review the letter of agreement before signing? I currently don’t have an attorney.
Terry Says
I’m sure they have a standard agreement. Did you ask how much you’ll be paying each year — and whether that includes ALL commissions and fees? I believe their agreement is a percentage of assets under management — the more money, the lower the percentage. But are they also offering advice on things like taxes, estate planning, gifting, etc. Ask if all that is included n their services.
