Social security
I will be collecting my SS at age 64, but still working, making more than allowed, so I was told SS would deduct the overage for several months until it is paid, then after that I would receive my normal amount monthly. It works out to 4 months out of the year I get nothing, then get my regular amount for the remaining 8 months of the year. How can i be assured they will do this correctly so they don’t come back and say they overpaid me and I owe money back to them? I am reading horrible stories about people having to pay back thousands of dollars many years later. Thank You!

Don’t be silly. DO NOT take SS before your FULL retirement age. I’ve written an entire column on this topic — and here is the link — detailing all the reasons.
You’ve created a fascinating scenario — and you’re about to outsmart yourself — with lifetime consequences!
