Social Security
My husband is 73yrs old and 3 quarters away from receiving any social security benefits. I am 72 and do receive benefits and a small monthly check. We paid in 2025 to Medicare approximately $3,600 for his Medicare benefits. Is it worth it for him to get the 3 quarters?

Oh my goodness — he is 73 and hasn’t started taking his SS yet? What a horrible mistake.
Benefits do not increase after age 70 — no matter how long you wait. He has cheated himself out of three years of benefits!!
He should apply for his SS immediately! And at the same time, he should make sure he has a Medicare supplement Plan G, and Part D — assuming he signed up for Medicare long ago and you have been paying out of pocket..
