I’ll be 70 in July of 2022. When and how do I collect social security.

You call Social Security at 1-800-772-1213 about 3 months before your 70th birthday. Tell them you don’t want to collect even one day early (which cuts your benefits!). Be ready to give them a bank account and bank routing number.
