Social Security
I am bombarded daily with warnings about politicians who want to do away with Social Security and Medicare, and organizations who want me to contribute money to help fight against this. Is there any validity to these claims? I just turned 65 and would really like to wait until I’m 66 years and 8 months to apply for my benefits but I’m beginning to wonder if it will still be there when I reach that age?????

Social Security will still be there! Wait at least until your full retirement age to claim your benefits.
