Social Security
My husband, a retired postal worker, receives a small social security benefit (less than $1,800 a year) in addition to his federal pension. All his Social Security goes directly to Medicare. He also pays an additional amount annually to cover the Medicare differential.
SSA is now saying his benefits were suspended beginning December 2023. No reason was given. Is this legal? Is there any recourse? Thank you.

Oh gosh, you were the victim of a “clawback.” Please go to www.SocialSecurityHorrorStories.com to learn how to file an appeal.
Did they send you a letter demanding a refund of money they already paid to you? Keep trying to contact them and get a written reason why they suspended his benefits. They must give you that. If you’re still having trouble, please write back.
