Social security — A Ripoff offer!
I recently took my SSI at 70,& was offered a buyout by them.Is this standard policy? I ended up taking a several month payment up front for a small change in monthly payment, Thanks,

Several people have written about this offer. It is a TERRIBLE deal — and I’m astounded that SS is doing that. It’s a ripoff.
You have 6 months to return the money you were paid — and they re-start SS at age 70. You’ve waited this long to get the best benefit. Please pay back the money and get the higher monthly check. It will be the basis for future inflation adjustments, and this will be your only security if you live to a ripe old age.
