i am 61 and receive social security i want to no can i f foul for my pension. Where are they lower my Social Security check or takeout money? When is the best time to file for my picture?

Terry Says

Your pension is completely separate from Social Security, since the Fairness Act was passed. That means even if you have a public service pension such as a teacher or government employee, your earned SS retirement benefits will not be reduced.

But are you receiving SS RETIREMENT benefits — or a disability benefit? You cannot receive SS RETIREMENT benefits before age 62, so I’m thinking SSDI. That still allows for you to collect a pension. Read this:

You should ask the company where you earned the pension about their rules for when you can start to collect.
I had to guess a bit about your situation, so if this does not answer your question, please write back.
