Well, if you want the basics, you should probably start with Social Security for Dummies — available at Amazon.com  One of the most thoughtful books on Social Security is Get What’s Yours by  Laurence Kotlikoff, and it is available on Amazon, although the latest edition is 2016.  It does incorporate the most significant benefit changes.
