Social Security decision

By Terry Savage on May 25, 2023 | Financial Planning / Retirement

My husband passed away in 2013. I am still working but was hoping to collect his SS. At what age can I collect that without an issue of how much I am making? I am 62 and still need to work. I thought I would collect his SS until I am ready to retire then I will drop his and then collect mine. Does this make sense?
Thank you,

Maybe. And maybe not. This is a complicated decision and you don’t want to make an expensive and permanent mistake. AND,you can’t rely on Social Security to give you the correct answer!

Please go to www.MaximizemySocialSecurity.com, pay the $39, and they will run the scenarios for you. And you’ll get the correct advice.
