Social security fairness act question
My husband and I are both civil service retirees. He receives a CSRS annuity and does not qualify for social security benefits. I receive a FERS annuity and social security benefits. As a result of the Social Security Fairness Act, there is no longer a two-thirds reduction in spousal benefits. Before my husband applies for social security benefits, we would like to confirm that his CSRS annuity and my FERS annuity and social security benefits will in no way be reduced by his receiving spousal social security benefits. Is that correct?
