social security — stopping my checks!
I just received a letter from Social Security that as of March 2025 that they are stopping my retirement benefits. They raised monthly benefits in August 2013 to give me credit for addition earnings, per letter. August 2013 my husband died at age 66 and I choose to take his benefit amount rather than my lower benefit. What do I do?

I’m writing about this now — and 60 Minutes is going to do an update on our Social Security Horror Stories. The idiots in charge, while there is no new commissioner. have simply decided to claw back 100% of THEIR mistakes — by stopping payments until their mistaken overpayments are recouped.
That means millions of seniors will lose their entire benefit check. I am hoping we can raise awareness and get this overturned again!!
