S&P 500 Fund vs. Total Market Fund for a brokerage account.

I’m looking to open a brokerage account. Which would you recommend: An S&P 500 Fund or a Total Market Fund? Which one do you think would offer the best returns? Thanks.

That’s a complete speculation. The Total Market fund includes more small cap companies. Why not split your investment 50/50 — and see what happens in 10 years!
