S&P 500 funds

By Terry Savage on December 12, 2018 | Investments

Wondering what’s a good S&P 500 fund to purchase for a long term investment with a couple thousand dollars. A mutual fund? A specific fund you like?

Terry Says

the Standars and Poor’s 500 stock index is a proprietary (owned) index of 500 of Americas largest stocks, weighted by formula. So every mutual fund that uses computers to exactly match the index performs exactly the same.

Go to either Fidelity or Vanguard to purchase shares of their S&P 500 fund at no cost.
