SS updates for TRS recipient
I will owe Medicare 587.00 by March 2025
due to higher income ( my husband is still working) in 2023. Some years my reduced SS benefits cover Medicare other years I have had to pay out of pocket. The calculations appear accurate . The windfall elimination should help me by covering my Medicare amount. I’m not sure if I should pay my amount due or wait for updates in the new law. We are 70 years old; my husband collects his SS and I have a TRS pension ( 30 years teaching).
Thanks !!

Pay the Medicare bill as it comes due — even though you should get higher benefits soon (and likely retroactive pay for all of 2024, if they follow the letter of the law). But you don’t want to have a hassle with Medicare, so make sure it is paid monthly.
