ss wife/widow benefits
My husband, age 73, died suddenly last August 22. Social Security was notified, and I expected to receive an adjusted amount in the future. I received the same benefits in September, but nothing at all in October or November. Then in December I received exactly the same amount we had been receiving prior to his death, no adjustment made. I have now received a letter regarding my adjusted benefits, which I don’t quite understand. I have a trusted friend helping me deal with that, but my question is why were benefits completely cut off for those two months?
