SSA
Do you know how I can get answers from the SSA? I have been trying since November…every time I call, I get a different answer. Twice I have been told a letter was mailed…never received any letters. Don’t get me started on the USPS. I just need some answers. I have tried the national number and the Chicago South number. Can you help me?

If you want factual information about your benefits, go to www.SSA.gov and click to create your own secure account called “mySocialSecurity.” If you will click on this link, it will take you to the place where you create an account.
If you’re trying to figure out when to take benefits, or how to get spousal benefits, then you really want to go to
www.maximizemysocialsecurity.com and use their program to determine which choices are better. The program costs $40 and is worth it.
It’s almost impossible to talk to the government in any agency these days, especially Social Security and the IRS. But studies have shown that half the time you get the WRONG answer from SS anyway!
