Starting a business
Hello, I am women (30) who wants to start a business with my husband. It’s an auto shop, he has the skill set. I have an accounting background, and we are starting from scratch. How much money should I ask for in a business loan and should I use my equity in my home?

Whew, I think you need much broader advice than where to get the money. May I suggest you contact the Womens Business Development Center (www.wbdc.org) to have a discussion of your business plan. (I’ve served on their advisory board for years!) They also have ways to help women fund their business, if their plan is good. Better to start with a good plan –and then find the money!
