Sth ocial Security claw back for spouse with Teachers Retirement
You have done amazing work to help people experiencing claw back. I heard your recent announcement on WGN radio Tuesday afternoon about the new 10%. My husband and I have not reached social security age but will soon. Will this also apply in our case if I were to receive my husband’s benefits? I do not have enough credits to receive my own social security. Thank you for all that you do!

Do you have a pension from a public service job, such as a state or county job? Many but not all of these require a WEP (Windfall Elimination Provisions) offset. That is not affected by today’s announcement. It will apply unless Congress changes the law.
