Stimulas for widow
My parents filed a 2018 AND 2019 tax return ( my father passed in Jan 2020) but we filed – They are due a $300 refund for 2019.
She ( my mother ) has not received her 2019 refund OR a stimulas – they usually get paper checks BUT I went in IRS.gov and gave them her bank acct routing number and such ( I have power of Attorney ) Have I done all that I can -?

When the IRS belatedly figured out it was sending checks to deceased people, it suddenly started cross-checking with SS records for deceased. Then it stopped sending ALL checks to returns with a SS # of a deceased person. That left many widows and widowers waiting!
I spoke with the IRS earlier this week and they said they know this is a problem and hope to fix it in August!! Please write back if you do not receive her stimulus by Labor Day.
Yes, it’s a long time to wait but they are really overwhelmed at the IRS.
