Stimulas rebate

By Terry Savage on March 02, 2021 | Wild Card

My daughter is on Medicare and social security. She got the last money via her and her daughters bank account as she had no income at the time . Now she does. She hasn’t gotten it. It should’ve gone in her and her daughters account. She called the IRS and they told her to try and create an account and get a debit card or go to an accountant. Does she have to . We don’t understand why she didn’t get it in the first place. The back pay she got shouldn’t be a factor . Thanks

Lots of people didn’t get the second, $600 check. Now, the ONLY WAY to get it is to file a 2020 tax return — right awy, electronically, and include your bank direct deposit info. Read this article for details.

Iknow it doesn’t seem fair, but it is the ONLY way. Even if she has low income she must file. I’m assuming her daughter does not declare her as a dependent.
