Stimulus check
I am writing for my mom and dad. I don’t understand how come they only got $1200. They both get ss checks and are direct deposits but only one stimulus check came in. I don’t know if this has happened to anyone else. I would think it would come in as one check of $2400.00. I went under all kinds of websites and they are both eligible so wondering if this has happened to anyone else thank you

A lot depends on whether they each or both filed a tax return. And whether they are both on Social Security. If only one filed a return, then the other would get the check in the same place he/she receives Social Security benefits.
BUT, if one of them does not file a return and does not get government benefits and is not recognized in any way by the government, then he/she must register here:
