Stimulus check eligibility
My granddaughter works part-time at Walgreens and is also a full-time independent student. Her salary for last year qualifies her for the $1,200 stimulus check. She has already filed for 2019 as a single person. Her parents do not claim her as a dependent. Is she eligible to receive the stimulus check? Thank you from Marcy

Yes, and because she filed her 2019 taxes and is NOT a dependent on her parent’s return, she doesn’t have to do anything — just wait for the check to be direct-deposited (if she filed that info for a refund) or arrive in the mail at the address on her filing.
And will you do me a favor, Marcy?? I’m trying to keep track of how long this process really takes. So please let me know the minute she gets her stimulus money!
