Stimulus Check Question re divorce
Hey Terry,
I haven’t done my 2019 taxes yet due to scheduling. I had my 2018 ones completed. The only thing with that is I was married then divorced in 2019. My ex husband and I together made 164,000. I also claimed my child in 2019. His father and I rotate every year. My earnings for 2018 were only 37,000. My ex husband already completed his taxes for 2019. How does this work for me if I haven’t completed my taxes for 2019 yet ?

Do your 2019 taxes NOW! Go to TurboTax.com and they willgive you free chat help if you have a simple return. As long as you are under $75,000 taxable agi for 2019 you will get a check!! And did he take your child as a dependent on HIS return? If so, he gets the $500 check. Ask him. That might have been in your divorce agreement.
