Stimulus check while unemployed
Hi,
My job was eliminated last August. I delayed taking unemployment believing I could find a job rather quickly, however that has not happened. My income through August put me above the stimulus level for a check, however, I am certainly making less than $75K at this time. Is there a way for me to apply/appeal to receive the stimulus check? Thank you.

No, it will be based on the 2019 income tax return you filed — or if you didn’t file in 2019, it will be based on 2018. Sounds like both years, you earned too much to qualify. As I noted in my “Top 10 Stimulus Questions” that is a wide crack in the program into which you have fallen.
