Stimulus checks for children
Hello I have a question regarding stimulus check I have a 12 yr old who I am filling as my dependent will me and him get $600 a piece? Also will my 18yr qualify for the $600 I’m not claiming him as a dependent ?

IF the President signs this bill, you and your younger son will each get $600 as it is currently written. Your 18 year old should not be claimed as a dependent on ANY return, and if he earned some money he can file his own tax return for 2020, claim he is independent, and qualify for the $600 stimulus. Assuming no changes by Congress now.
