stimulus checks for widows and dependents
Hi, did you ever find anything out about how a widow can get her stimulus check released? I’ve spoken with IRS several times and they told me it’s a running problem that checks are held because they include 1200 for the deceased (because of previous joint filing), but they say nothing can be done. …so while they accidentally cut checks to deceased people who don’t need it, they’re holding checks for widows and young dependents who do need it! I have a feeling this would be fixed if the men weren’t getting their money!!!

You’re exactly right. I’ve been talking with my contact at IDES, and this is just a terrible coding error in their system!
