Stimulus checks- never received
Hi Terry, first of all when are you going to put your name in the circle for President!!!
I agree “its the economy stupid’, but we need leaders with the knowledge, experience and complex relationship building skills to make things happen. I hope you get my drift!
Separately, I am still hearing there are some folks who submitted their 2019 tax return, received their refund , I do qualify for the $1200 but never got it. Any idea what they should do?

Thanks for the compliment. Were you eligible for a stimulus based on your 2018 return income? That’s what they probably checked first. Are you sure you were not declared a dependent by anyone else on your 2018 return? Or were reported as behind in child support?
Those two things were disqualifiers.
But assuming you had under $100,000 income on your 2019 return (done in July) you should be eligible for a stimulus check. You can claim it as a credit on next year’s return — the2020 return you will file in April 2021. Or call this number dedicated to that problem at the IRS:
