Stimulus Checks to Foreigners?
Hi Terry,
When it comes to finance, you’re the smartest person that I can ask this of. I have a friend whose parents own rental properties in this country, but have never lived here and are residents of Trinidad. They received the $1,200. checks, so I guess the will get the new one as well. That money will never be spent in this country, so I can’t see how they can stimulate our economy. I read in the paper that a woman living in London did as well. Is there something wrong that all this money is going to foreigners? Is it because they pay some kind of tax on that income?

The IRS has admitted that it mistakenly sent checks to non-residents and non-citizens.
This article explains the entire situation. And yes, it might happen again.
That’s the kind of stuff that happens when you are giving away billions of taxpayer dollars!
