Why didn’t I receive a stimulus check on my kids but I got $1200 for me?

However, if you listed them as dependents on your tax return — and are VERY SURE that your ex didn’t list them (!), then this is an error. And it’s not he first time the IRS has made this mistake. Within two weeks you’ll receive a letter from the IRS explaining your payment. I’m hoping they’ll put up a site where people can register complaints about wrong payments!
