Stimulus if I changed banks
Hi Terry,
I love listening to you on WGN. With the recently passed stimulus, I am concerned about my direct deposit. I had to change banks since the last round. Will I be able to change my bank information? Currently, the IRS website says you cannot. I was just wondering if you knew if that would be changed.

First, let’s get this stimulus bill signed! Then, plan to file your 2020 return early. Include direct deposit info for they year 2020. Not sure when they will reconcile the two — but you can always file for a credit for the second stimulus on this return, just in case. Likely if the stimulus deposit “bounces” they will look at your latest return.
