stimulus money — where?
Hi!Terry,
My mom files a tax return but does’t owe or get a refund. She gets SSI which is direct deposit. How will she get her money and when?
Also, if someone owes the IRS money from a previous tax year, will they get the money?

Yes, she will get the money. Owing taxes from a previous year has no impact on getting the stimulus payment. Now, the question of WHERE her stimulus payment will come is an interesting one. SSI recipients get theirs where they get their direct deposit, but tax filers get a check by mail to the address on their most recent return. So you have TWO places to look. But it should come by the middle of May, in either case.
