Stimulus Payment — Where?
Hi Terry. My wife and I file our federal income tax jointly and make quarterly payments, so the IRS does not have our bank information, and we have not received our payment. We are both over 65 and receive social security payments electronically into our checking accounts. Will the IRS cross reference with Social Security to obtain our banking information so we do not need to wait for paper checks in the mail? If yes, do you have a sense of how long this will take? Thanks for all you do!

Your stimulus payments will almost certainly be deposited into the same account you receive your SS benefit (with a small chance that it could come by mail to the address on your return. So you have the fun of looking in two places! I would expect it by mid-May — but not necessarily the same time as your monthly SS benefits.
