Stimulus payments
We have used Turbo Tax and direct deposit for 15+ years. We received the $1200 stimulus payment last April as direct deposit but the $600 payment in Jan was mailed to us by check and it took almost 4 weeks to get it from the “processed” date. Why would that have not been direct deposited and now, what should we expect for this payment? DD or check?

Your guess is as good as mine! they were racing to get the $600 out in a short window in January. If you hadn’t filed your 2020 return electronically by the time they got to your SS number last week, they will use your 2019 return — and if there was direct deposit info on it, it will come DD. If not look for a check or debit card in the mail!
