stimulus payments for SSI recipients
Please help me to understand why did the people who get ssi has not gotten their stimulus payment yet? I tried the get my payment app and it keeps saying Payment Status not available! Then it says the info for people on ssi that their info is not yet updated into this app! Im a 55 yr old woman confined to a Wheelchair and i have bills. before im put out! Please update me to when i can expect my stimulus payment

You will get it in the next four weeks, most likely. This is a huge undertaking – -and in its “wisdon” the government started out by paying tax filers who got refunds by direct deposit. Then came paper tax filers. Then coming now is Social Security retirement and disability recipients. And last — but not least — they will get around to the people who need it most — SSI recipients. You have no choice but to be patient. It will come. Not necessarily at eh same time as your next SSI deposit, either!
