stimulus payments under cares act
Every time I check to see why we haven’t received our Cares Act payments, the message says “the information you have entered does not match our records.” It’s only SS number, DOB, street address and zip code and I know I have that right. Do you know why I keep getting this message?

Did you file a tax return? If so, and if you qualify by income and are not behind on child support, the check will come to that address. Also, be on the lookout for a white envelope containing a debit card, because some stimulus payments are coming that way.
Are you on Social Security retirement or disability? If so your benefits will come the same way as you get your benefits, but not necessarily at the same time.
They are still sending out stimulus payments, so be patient. And ignore the website — it’s as much of a mess as everything else at the IRS!
