Stockpile
Read your article about Stockpile.com. Went to purchase gift card so nephew could open account with his father. We all live in Connecticut though. Is there any other way to do this in Connecticut?

You do it online at Stockpile.com. Then you can email the gift certificate. Here’s a link to generate that gift certificate for almost any stock, or a “general” gift card that lets the child choose the stock. And the child opens the “account” to buy the stock in his state of residence, with a parent as custodian. It’s very easy, and fun for the child.
