Is the SIM protection code you mentioned different from a PIN I have created before I can use my phone? How exactly can a person hack a SIM card? I have no financial info on my cell phone and do not bank or shop with it. Please advise. Thank you.

If you don’t do banking or other financial transactions on your cell phone, you don’t have to worry about protecting your SIM card.
