Survivor SS

By Terry Savage on May 15, 2023 | Financial Planning / Retirement

I decided to take my deceased husbands SS (so not lost) until I reach age of 70; I am 67 and then switch over and take mine as it will be higher than his. He worked early in life and then became self-employed and why his is lower. Is this wrong to do this?

If you haven’t made that decision yet, I suggest you go to www.MaximizeMySocialSecurity.com and get their advice on the alternatives. It looks good to me, but I’m always afraid to give specific advice because these are the experts. And the $39 cost will be worth it many times over if it keeps you from making a mistake!
