T-Bills
Hi Terry, I want to make sure I am understanding correctly and purchasing the right thing. I have set-up a Treasury Direct account. In “buy direct”, I see several options; bills, notes, bonds, TIPS, and FRN. I would like to buy the T-bills you refer to on WGN. Is any of these options or am I in the wrong section? Thanks for the help.

You’re in the right place. Just choose 13 week (3 month)or 26 week (6 month) T-bills and then click the box for the next upcoming auction date. The rest will happen automatically.
Then don’t forget to fill in the box for “automatic renewals” which means when they mature they will be rolled into the next auction, and the interest will drop back into your bank account.
