T-Bills

By Terry Savage on August 06, 2024 | Chicken Money

Hi Terry, my question is I’ve bought $100 t-bills for $98. Selected the 3 time reinvestment option, and they send $2 back to my bank account after the reinvestments. I’d much rather have that 2 bucks be compounded. Is there a way to do this?

Terry Says

No. With T-bills you get the interest up front. Period. If you want compounding, use a money market fund.
