T Bills
I have heard you say to invest in T Bills directly with Treasury Direct. What is the down side of investing in T Bills through a Fidelity Brokerage account. I am helping my mother with her finances and would like to have everything in one place.

Nope. They will do it for you, but likely include the amount in their management fee. Set up a separate account for her, preferably in the name of her Revocable Living Trust!
