T Notes

By Terry Savage on February 08, 2023 | Chicken Money

Terry,
Just heard you on WGN radio , excellent show and advice. I have been purchasing T Bills regularly for the past year or so but now am thinking as you mentioned, of going out a little more long term. My question is, (example)on a 2 year T Note it shows HIGH YIELD @ 4.139 and INTEREST RATE @ 4.125. Which one do I calculate on my investment , high yield or interest rate? Thank you.

Terry Says

You can’t calculate in advance. You’ll be buying them at the next auction — whatever rate is set at that time.
