Tax payments (Federal) scheduled prior to Stimulus approval
If you filed your taxes (Turbo Tax) prior to the stimulus package approval and set up an auto debit from your checking account to comply with the 15 Apr (Federal) and 1 May (VA State) dates, will that money still be debited from your account on the original date(s) or deferred to align with the new dates under the stimulus package? Thx.

You would have to adjust the auto-debit to any date until July 15th. There is no penalty, so you might as well adjust!
Amazingly, though — and I mention this in my column — they have NOT adjusted the due date for the June 15th quarterly estimate payment!
