Taxes
How can someone monitor their taxes? Last year I owed $5,000 in taxes. Between collecting my social security, an annuity, and working part time I was unaware of my tax situation. Hoping to lower my tax bill, I have increased my withholding on the annuity and cut back my hours at work. Any other suggestions? Thank you.

YOu can have money withheld from your Social Security check for taxes. You should keep working and earning as much as possible. This is the time to spend a little money getting advice from an accountant. You need to figure out how much money you will earn, then a tax advisor can tell you how much you will owe.
