Tbills

When the market is down, is it the best time to buy Tbills?

Terry Says

The “best” time to buy Treasury bills is when you decide you need to set some money aside for complete safety.  T-bills are IOUs from the Federal government — the safest global investment as determined by global markets. You’ll earn an interest rate set each week by the institutions that bid on the billions of new T-bills sold (or refionanced by the government as they mature) each Monday.  T-bills are “chicken money” — the safe place for your nestegg.  They won’t make you rich, but you won’t be poor, either.  Read my recent article on How to Buy Treasury Bills.
