Terry Answers a DESPERATE question — showing how so many people are in deep trouble these days!

I checked bank account this morning and nothing zero..no stimulus check..I moved from where I lived for 14 years to a new place this past December 10th.with my youngest daughter, had to take what I could at time..it’s a small apartment. Prior to moving as I didn’t have address yet I got a p.o.box, still have to date, with my old address so mail would go there..

However, my monthly benefits checks for SSDI and SSI get direct deposited each month into same account they have been for years now..It’s in my exhusbands name the account, him being my payee, yes we get along better apart, as friends. My monthly SSDI and SSI check for my youngest daughter whom I get under my benefits gets automatically direct deposited into account each month was set up that way & has been for sometime now showing our SS.#’s next to deposits. Regarding the Stimulus check website it said I didn’t have to do anything about Stimulus check it would automatically go into account?? It hasn’t..everyone is getting there’s and I’m not..my ex husband got his today..?? He has direct deposit also and also on SSDI. I’m near tears sitting here with no money, and again affraid being 57 years old and not getting stimulus check, that I could use so badly now… I’m a single mom and I don’t know what to do? Or what’s wrong as to why I’m not getting? I need the money badly. I have even reached out to get help to get oil, as I’m right over that poverty line and I don’t evrn get DTA help either, haven’t even gotten help for oil, it going on 3 weeks now me calling salvation army to help me, being told someone would call me back, and no one has?? I’m disabled from having a brain aneurysm. If you could help me in my questions I would be very grateful and blessed..Thank you sincerely,.

Whoa, please calm down. I’m publishing your question in full — so that others have an idea of the pain and panic out there as people wait for their stimulus payments.
But here’s your answer: Your stimulus payment will come directly to that account where you get your SSDI. They haven’t sent them out yet. My best guess is that it will arrive by mid-May! So I hope you can make it until then.

However, if your youngest daughter is UNDER 17 — and only if that is true — you need to go to this link to register her — and be eligible for the $500. YOu’ll need your bank account information if possible. BUT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOUR OWN SSDI, OR YOUR EX-HUSBAND’S payment.

And when this is all over, in a few months, I suggest you open your own bank account in your name, to receive your SSDI. But not in the middle of all this mess.
