To buy or not to buy utility stocks
I retired last year and know have to watch my savings.I was in the stock market for many years and know only have two CD’s getting only 2.6%.I have been looking at two utility stocks, Next Era Energy and Duke Energy. I know that these two stocks can loss money, but with my CD’s they make just about nothing. What to do. Thank you.

That depends on what’s most important to you: capital preservation or income.
The risk in utility stocks is they cut their dividends, disappointing investors. That could lead to lower stock prices. The risk in your CDs is a sure thing: when they mature, rates will be lower!
