Tresury bills redemption

By Terry Savage on July 16, 2023 | Chicken Money

Hi Terry,
I am confused and concerned. My treasury bills are set to mature in November. They were rolled over one time and the interest was automatically put into my money market account. Will the money also be redirected back to my money market account without me doing anything? I was reading some info on the treasury direct website and am
concerned it may be very complicated to get my money back. Please advise.

Terry Says

You can always go into your Treasury direct account and schedule another rollover for when your T-bills mature. That’s easy. But if you don’t schedule another rollover, the full amount will be automatically deposited back into your bank account at maturity. Nothing to worry about.
